This trip was made to inspires you, Your travel will begin through the Sacred Valley, observing small villages and mountains with snow-capped peaks, then you will see a piece of living culture with the weavers of Awana Cancha. You will rest in the  stillness of the valley and by the morning get ready for a marvelous train ride to Aguas Calientes to visit the Inca citadel, Machu Picchu. Then the Inca capital awaits you with its mystical and ancient atmosphere, here you can go out to enjoy the nightlife or enjoy the gastronomic offer, Cusco has it all. The tour give you some adventure with a trek to turquoise water lagoon, Humantay that will fill you with energy. If it is about privacy, nothing better than spending some days in the middle of the jungle, exuberant and with great diversity of flora and fauna, here you will enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets.

Day 01: Arrive Lima

Once you arrive in Lima, an English-speaking representative will be waiting for you to welcome and  take you to your hotel.

Day 02: Crossing the Andes (B, L)

After breakfast this morning, we continue our travel in Peru with a flight to the mountain-ringed city of Cuzco. Situated at an elevation of  10,909 feet, this city was the capital of the Incan world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, we descend into the Sacred Valley of the Urubamba River, the lower elevation of which eases our transition to high altitudes of the Andes before our visit to Machu Picchu and our return to Cusco.

We will visit the Awanacancha We will visit Awanacancha, a tourist complex where we will see and feed the Andean camelids such as the llamas and alpacas, and where the locals will show us the weaving and dyeing techniques of their traditional textiles. We will then continue to Inca and Colonial Pisac. Discover one of the most beautiful archeological sites in the Sacred Valley at the top of the mountain where you can have a view of the colonial town of Pisac. Walking tour to the Colonial town. Time to do some shopping at the handicraft market. After lunch we will let you in your hotel to refresh and relax.

Day 03: Exploring the Ollantaytambo fortress and traveling along the Vilcanota river (B)

First, you will visit the splendid Inca ruins Ollantaytambo. This place was the royal estate of Emperor Pachacutec who conquered the region, built the town and a ceremonial center. We’ll walk amid the remains of this ancient fortress of gray and rose-colored granite, discover its ancient baths, and climb up the huge terraces guarding its hilltop temples.

Then, we'll enjoy a chance to meet some of the local people who dwell in the traditional town nearby. You will be also able to access to one of these houses to observe a typical dwelling and how ancient Peruvians used to live.

Then you will have an hour and a half hour of a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley towards Aguas Calientes.

Day 04: Discover Machu Picchu (B)

Machu Picchu is one of those places that every single traveler should experience at least once in their lives.

This day after an early wake up your guide will meet you at the hotel to start your expedition through Machu Picchu, the legendary “Lost City of the Incas.”

You will begin your expedition around this beautiful and sacred Incan site. Your expert guide will explain you the history and visit the remarkable temples of the Sun and the Condor. You will also see aqueducts and houses, while learning some interesting facts about the Sacred Incan Terraces You'll have ample time to explore, reflect, and ponder the enigma of this man-made wonder, both with our Trip Leader and on our own.

The most adventurous trekkers should not miss the famous mountain climb of Huayna Picchu, which can be scheduled at  7.00 am. However Huayna Picchu tickets can sell out up to a couple month in advance.

In the afternoon you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo Train Station, and then we will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 05: Discover Cusco City 'Archaeological capital of the Americas' (B)

Your guide will pick you up at the hotel in the morning. You will first visit the colonial part of Cusco, You will have the chance to visit Cathedral (build in a Baroque style and having paintings of the Cusqueña school) and the temple of Qoricancha, more known as the gold covered temple (A place which we will appreciate in all its enchantment, the temple of the Thunderclap, Ray, Lightning, Rainbow, Stars and the temple of Santo Domingo)

Next you will be driven to the archeological complex of Sacsayhuaman situated on a mountain overlooking Cusco. Sacsayhuaman, a walled-complex is as many other Inca constructions made of large polished dry-stone walls, each boulder carefully cut to fit together tightly without mortar. Sacsayhuaman, is a huge, stunning site which holds the great house of the Sun, where the head  of the Puma of Cusco resides. Its megalithic, zigzag stone walls were pieced together with amazing skill, drawing the snake and other Andean symbols.

Following we will go towards to Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay,  places that were dedicated to Mother Earth “Pacha mama” , unique center of celebrations and astronomical studies. This complex contains several rooms, inner plazas, aqueducts, vantage points, and pathways.

At the end of this tour you will be driven to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 06: Turquoise lagoon

We will pick you up from your hotel very early in the morning. We will board our tourist transport and after 2 hours we will arrive to Mollepata, where we will register our information and pay to enter in the Salkantay route. In this same town we will taste of our breakfast and later we will continue in our transportation another hour until we reach to Soraypampa. From this point we will have wonderful views of the snowy Salkantay and Humantay forming a landscape without equal. Here we are going to start our trek, slowly we will ascend for approximately one hour until we reach the Humantay Lagoon located at 4300 meters above sea level, It is situated at the foot of the Humantay snow Peak, we will be in this magical place for approximately one hour, you will be able to take photos and if possible take a dip, in addition we will get the explanation of our experienced guide.

At the end of the visit of this beautiful lagoon we will begin our descent trek and our return trip to Mollepata where we will have our lunch 2:00 pm. After lunch we will take the transportation back to Cusco.

Day 07: Cusco at your own pace (B)

Today you will have time to explore the streets of Cusco, make some shopping or just sit and enjoy the sunset while relax. If you want advice you can contact us, we will be happy to help you give you some tips

Day 08: From the Andes to Amazon Rainforest (B,L,D)

Early in the morning, you will be met by our representative at your hotel and escorted to the airport. You will fly to Puerto Maldonado, where you will be welcomed by a lodge representative.

You will start this rainforest adventure by navigating a motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River to your lodge. Here, you will enjoy a traditional lunch with organic ingredients from the region.

In the afternoon, you will take a walk through trails, an immersive tour of the jungle and learn about its particular flora and fauna as well as its uses for the native communities. At dusk, you will enjoy a Twilight River excursion via motorized canoe on the Madre de Dios River. You will be able to learn about its ecosystem, Amazonian creeks, and nocturnal animal behavior.

Day 09: Safari in the Peruvian Amazon (B,L,D)

Today get ready for a full on Amazon experience! You will start with a trek into the Tambopata National Reserve towards Lake Sandoval. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will navigate by dugout canoe across this mirrorlike oxbow lake that is home to the endangered giant river otter, blue and yellow macaw, red howler monkey, black caiman, and one of the world’s biggest fresh water scaled fish, the paiche.

After lunch we will start the famous Canopy & Anaconda Walk. A 20-minute boat ride will take us to the interpretation center, where we will ascend a 98-foot (30-meters) tower and cross the 7 hanging bridges that connect the treetops more than 90 feet in the air! From here we will have the most breathtaking vistas and get the chance to watch white-throated toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, squirrel monkeys, and other beautiful, exotic animals. After descending, we will keep going along the 656 ft / 200 m wooden bridge over the swamps.

In the evening we can either take it easy or go on a Hidden Rainforest Excursion, where you will explore the Amazon rainforest that gives way to nocturnal animals with fascinating behavioral patterns and enhanced senses they have adapted to survive in this unique environment.

Day 10: Arrival to Lima (B)
