On this trip you will discover why Peru is consider as a multicultural country with a great biodiversity. The landscapes will change drastically during the trip, from the arid Peruvian  coast to the lush tropical forest where you can photograph a variety of animals and beautiful scenarios . Then throught the andes you will arrive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will see many towns, a tipical market and know the main tourist places.After a peacefull night, the next morning you will take the train to Aguas Calientes, this rail ride has a fantastic view of the Vilcanota River. We will guide you in Machu Picchu citadel and you will know the capital of the Inca Empire, Cusco. Then, our travel direction change south, the altitude will be higher and you can see llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, until you reach the highest lake in the world, where you will visit floating islands, share with a local family and spend an unforgettable night in the middle of the lake Titicaca. Day 01: Arrive Lima

Once you arrive in Lima, an English-speaking representative will be waiting for you to welcome and  take you to your hotel.

Day 02: From the Coast to the Amazon Rainforest (B,L,D)

Early in the morning, you will be met by our representative at your hotel and escorted to the airport. You will fly to Puerto Maldonado, where you will be welcomed by a lodge representative.

You will start this rainforest adventure by navigating a motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River to your lodge. Here, you will enjoy a traditional lunch with organic ingredients from the region.

In the afternoon, you will take a walk through trails, an immersive tour of the jungle and learn about its particular flora and fauna as well as its uses for the native communities. At dusk, you will enjoy a Twilight River excursion via motorized canoe on the Madre de Dios River. You will be able to learn about its ecosystem, Amazonian creeks, and nocturnal animal behavior.

Day 03: Safari in the Peruvian Amazon (B,L,D)

Today get ready for a full on Amazon experience! You will start with a trek into the Tambopata National Reserve towards Lake Sandoval. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is the biodiversity capital of Peru. You will navigate by dugout canoe across this mirrorlike oxbow lake that is home to the endangered giant river otter, blue and yellow macaw, red howler monkey, black caiman, and one of the world’s biggest fresh water scaled fish, the paiche.

After lunch we will start the famous Canopy & Anaconda Walk. A 20-minute boat ride will take us to the interpretation center, where we will ascend a 98-foot (30-meters) tower and cross the 7 hanging bridges that connect the treetops more than 90 feet in the air! From here we will have the most breathtaking vistas and get the chance to watch white-throated toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, squirrel monkeys, and other beautiful, exotic animals. After descending, we will keep going along the 656 ft / 200 m wooden bridge over the swamps.

In the evening we can either take it easy or go on a Hidden Rainforest Excursion, where you will explore the Amazon rainforest that gives way to nocturnal animals with fascinating behavioral patterns and enhanced senses they have adapted to survive in this unique environment.

Day 04: Arrival to Inca Capital (B)

Today, you will be picked up from your lodge and transferred river up to Puerto Maldonado where you will be brought to the airport. After a short half an hour flight we will arrive in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas.

We will have the rest of the day to relax, acclimatize and explore the city at your own pace. There are so many attractions and thing to do at walking distance.

Day 05: Explore Ollantaytambo fortress Ruins (B)

Today you will experience a full-day private guided excursion throughout the Sacred Valley. First, you will visit the ruins of Pisac, that is an important archaeological site in the region of Cusco and there is also a colorful market on town where you can experience a vibrant atmosphere of communities, traditions and bartering. There are many handicrafts and textiles that you will be able to purchase.

Afterward we will head to the splendid Inca ruins Ollantaytambo. This place was the royal estate of Emperor Pachacutec who conquered the region, built the town and a ceremonial center. We’ll walk amid the remains of this ancient fortress of gray and rose-colored granite, discover its ancient baths, and climb up the huge terraces guarding its hilltop temples.

Then, we'll enjoy a chance to meet some of the local people who dwell in the traditional town nearby. You will be also able to access to one of these houses to observe a typical dwelling and how ancient Peruvians used to live.

Day 06: Train journey to the Inca marvelous city (B)

The day has coming, it´s time to discover the Inca citadel. You will have an hour and a half hour of a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley towards Aguas Calientes.

Machu Picchu is one of those places that every single traveler should experience at least once in their lives.

Your expert guide will explain you the history and visit the remarkable temples of the Sun and the Condor. You will also see aqueducts and houses, while learning some interesting facts about the Sacred Incan Terraces You'll have ample time to explore, reflect, and ponder the enigma of this man-made wonder, both with our Trip Leader and on our own.

In the afternoon you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo Train Station, and then we will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 07: Discover Cusco City “Archaeological capital of the Americas” (B)

Your  guide will pick you up at the hotel in the morning. You will first visit the colonial part of Cusco, You will have the chance to visit Cathedral (build in a Baroque style and having paintings of the Cusqueña school) and the temple of Qoricancha, more known as the gold covered temple (A place which we will appreciate in all its enchantment, the temple of the Thunderclap, Ray, Lightning, Rainbow, Stars and the temple of Santo Domingo). These places are important in a time of constant cultural development in architecture, religion and policy, started in the colonial time.

Next you will be driven to the archeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, situated on a mountain overlooking Cusco. Sacsayhuaman, a walled-complex is as many other Inca constructions made of large polished dry-stone walls, each boulder carefully cut to fit together tightly without mortar. Sacsayhuaman, is a huge, stunning site which holds the great house of the Sun, where the head  of the Puma of Cusco resides. Its megalithic, zigzag stone walls were pieced together with amazing skill, drawing the snake and other Andean symbols, like a lightning bolt across a great field.

Following we will go towards to Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay, places that were dedicated to Mother Earth “Pachamama” , unique center of celebrations and astronomical studies. This complex contains several rooms, inner plazas, aqueducts, vantage points, and pathways.

At the end of this tour you will be driven to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 08: Cusco at your own pace (B)

Today you will have time to explore the streets of Cusco, make some shopping or just sit and enjoy the sunset while relax. If you want advice you can contact us, we will be happy to help you give you some tips.

Day 09: Southern art and nature (B,L)

This day in the morning your driver will pick you up from your hotel to the bus station. You will travel through stunning Andean scenery in the south valley of Cusco passing small Andean villages. You will make a stop at Oropesa Village, known for baking fresh bread in very large, typical, adobe brick ovens. Here you will have the opportunity to taste some typical bread baked by locals.

Your journey will then continue to the Andahuaylillas Church, known as the Andean Sistine Chapel, where you will see intriguing 16th, 17th and 18th century mural paintings and altars completely decorated in gold. Next, you will stop at Racchi, a small highland town where you will discover the Incan temple of Wiracocha and learn about its fascinating construction with adobe brick walls that measure up to 11 meters high.

Then you will  continue on a fascinating route, off the beaten track, alongside Lake of Langui, located 4,000 meters above sea level. At this lake, you will be able to observe flamingos, ducks, eagles and a variety of Andean birds in their natural habitat. Here, you will stop for an appetizing picnic lunch with a dazzling view of the lake and its surroundings. After lunch, you will pass an altitude of 4300m, 14100ft at La Raya before heading to Lake Titicaca, the birthplace of the Incan Empire and the first Inca, Manco Capac.

Upon your arrival to Lake Titicaca, at approximately 5:00 pm, we will take you to your hotel where you have the rest of the evening to relax or explore the city.

Day 10: The world’s highest navigable lake and its people (B,L,D)

This day your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. Titicaca. We will visit the very unique Uros Floating Islands, which are built of only totora reeds, a water plant that grows in the lake. You will be amazed to see how the locals use the totora reeds to build their canoes, houses, beds and many other objects, necessary in their daily lives.

As part of your visit to Uros, you will ride on a totora reed canoe, which will let you experience a smooth and pleasant trip around the islands. From here, we will continue on to Taquile Island via private motor boat. You will have the time to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of Lake Titicaca for 2 hours. We will arrive to the bay at Taquile Beach where you will enjoy a locally prepared.

After lunch, you have the choice to take a short hike to explore the island. Afterwards, we will serve you a locally cooked Peruvian dinner at your hut on the island where you will spend the night

Day 11: Daily life in Titicaca (B,L)

Today you will wake up to a locally cooked breakfast with an amazing view of the sunrise overlooking Lake Titicaca. After breakfast, you will discover Taquile Island and learn about its pre-Incan constructions and agricultural terraces. Get ready because we will take you on a 30 minute boat ride from Taquile island to Amantani Island.

The specialities at Amantani island are textiles, weaving and ceramics. The life on this small island is rather simple but interesting as there are no hotels, cars and limited electricity. You will enjoy a short walk around this island before having a tasty lunch in a traditional Amantanian restaurant. After lunch, we will cross the lake and upon arrival to the shore we will take you back to your hotel in Puno.

Day 12: Last day in Puno and Back Home (B)

Today, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Juliaca Airport in time for your domestic flight to Lima.
